Plantersville Municipal Court hears traffic and other misdemeanor violations of the Mississippi Code of 1972 Annotated as well as building/residential code and animal control violations from the City of Plantersville Ordinances. The Municipal Court sits in regular session on the 3rd Friday of each month at Town Hall at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.


Property Maintenance

Junk vehicles are prohibited within the city limits. It is unlawful for any private property to be utilized for the collection or accumulation of junk.  All junkyards, recycling and salvage operations, vehicle salvage yards, vehicle repair shops and wrecker services shall screen from view storage of such from adjacent properties with opaque fencing and landscaping.

 

Vehicular Noise

It is unlawful for an audio system of a vehicle to produce or exceed a c-weighted sound level in excess of sixty decibels measured at or adjusted to a distance of fifty feet within the city limits.

  

Garage Sales

A permit must be obtained from the Plantersville Town Clerk to conduct a garage sale.  Fees are $5.00 for a one day sale and $7.50 for a two or three day sale.  No sale may exceed three days.  No sales shall be conducted more frequently than every thirty days.

 

Dogs

The Town of Plantersville requires that all dogs be vaccinated against rabies.  Dangerous, vicious, or fierce dogs are not allowed within the city limits.  Dogs are not allowed to run at large but must be confined by leash, chain or fence.
